Hello friends! I finally get to announce that I have been invited to join the Sonoran Desert Crafts design team. I have worked with the owner/artist of Sonoran Desert Crafts, Mindy Beverly, on other design teams for several years. I am so excited to be able to color and create for her now.
The first set I am working with from Sonoaran Desert Crafts is from the So Lucky Kit that was released last year. The stamp set is a 4x4 set called Lucky Gnomes.
I am absolutely in love with the entire DT package that Mindy sent! The sencil has the cutest clover pattern and then on the top it has clouds and the bottom has grass. I used the entire stencil to create the scene on my first card.
Check out those dies! They are super cute! They cut perfectly and the little cloud you see in the picture is embossed when cut which makes it look fluffy.
The second project I made for today's release is a simple Reverse Easel Card. I found a great tutorial made by Jenny Dix over on the La-La Land Crafts Blog
The papers I used for the Reverse Easel Card are from the Sonoran Desert Crafts So Lucky Paper Pack. I had colored cardstock in my stash that matched perfectly! But what if you don't? You take a white piece of cardstock and use your alcohol markers to color a trim around it in a matching color. That is what I did for the first card I made...a trick I learned from Jennifer Dove at the La-La Land Crafts Color and Create Boot Camp that I attended in January. Freaking genius I tell ya! Just genius!
